Steph got her hot teacher certification from Core Power Yoga in the Fall of 2009. She moved to Jackson in the winter of 2010 following through on a much publicized declaration at the age of 12 that this is where she would move after college. She works as an instructor at the Teton Science Schools during the day and fully believes in the healing properties of wilderness. Working with children from all over the world has only reinforced this belief and the need for our future generations to get outside. Steph loves anything in and around the ocean and escapes to the beach as much as possible. At the Science Schools she has a new group of kids coming in every week. In order to get to know their inner selves she likes to play a game called two truths and a lie. Try and figure out which one is a lie: Steph has a tattoo of Hulk Hogan (whom she shares her birthday with) on her bottom. Steph once got arrested for climbing an endangered tree on her college campus. The good old Cal Poly Police busting the REAL troublemakers. Steph separated her shoulder in a Ritz-Carelton steam room while choking on an apple that was cooking due to the heat. |

Steph started yoga at the young age of 15 as an escape from competitive swimming. Drawn to hot yoga for it's intensity, she took full advantage of all the studios and diverse classes in her home town of Boulder, Colorado. Around the time she started doing yoga regularly she began climbing and racing professional triathlons. Through it all, yoga always proved to be the one thing that was rejuvinating no matter what fatigue or injuries plagued her-opting often to a do-it-yourself physical therapy regime of hot yoga, climbing and swimming.
